🌟 Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade Returns Tomorrow
A luminous Lowcountry tradition returns this weekend! The Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade takes place Saturday, November 22, 2025, lighting up the shoreline with creativity, community, and coastal magic. Whether you’re carrying your own handmade lantern or simply admiring the glowing procession from the sand, this event captures the true spirit of island living.
🕓 When & Where
The parade lineup begins at 4:45 p.m. at the Alder Lane Beach Access, behind the Marriott Grande Ocean Resort. Step-off begins at 5:30 p.m., just after sunset, when the beach begins to shimmer with hundreds of handmade lanterns.
The route follows the shoreline north along South Forest Beach and concludes at Lowcountry Celebration Park — a perfect gathering spot for the after-parade festivities.
✨ What to Expect
Lanterns of every shape and size — crafted by local artists, families, and school groups — create a ribbon of light that winds along the sand. Before the parade begins, guests can enjoy live music, food trucks, and refreshments at Lowcountry Celebration Park starting around 3 p.m.
This is a free community event, and everyone is welcome to join or simply enjoy the view.
