The results are in. 2013 is officially the best start to a real estate year EVER in the Hilton Head Island market. On the sidelines too long, buyers are jumping in and inventory is dwindling. It's been 5 years since I had to tell a buyer that we didn't get the house they wanted because another buyer beat us to it. I'm back to telling people they need to pick out a second favorite while we are house hunting...I never thought I'd say those words again!
Real Estate is local, that's for sure, and since they are not building any more island I suspect we have entered another period of growth here on Hilton Head. Improvements are popping up all over the place from the leveling and rebuilding of the shelter cove mall to various upgrades inside the gates of popular communities like Sea Pines. The town continues to snap up available open space to preserve as green space to keep the island as natural and beautiful as possible.
